1. Know the market
Don’t rely a great deal on intuition. Conduct some research because it will repay many times the effort devoted to it. To reduce risks, improve targeting and to get to know customers’ need and the competition better… it is important that you do the research yourself. Then when you talk about your stuff you will be taken seriously.
2. Walk Around The Neighbourhood
Get out and introduce yourself to potential clients and make sure they have your business card. Cheeky? Perhaps but it can be suprisingly effective.
3. Advertisement
Cheap advertisements flyers etc.
4. Website
It doesn’t need to be state of the art, just simple and focused way exactly stating what your business does. Remember, you should always regard your website as the second point of contact with potential customers, after your initial contact has been made. And it really isn’t hard to write your own website. Believe me, I have written many websites.
